The vertical timeline below highlights key
events in Jacobs' personal and professional life, 1920-2006. Many of
these events are linked to images and documents from the Louis Jacobs
Archive. Each of these archival material reproductions placed alongside
the timeline can be enlarged by clicking the thumbnails. This timeline
is an insight rather than a comprehensive list based upon the archival
evidence kept at the Leopold Muller Memorial Library.
All reproductions presented below belong to the Louis Jacobs
Archive, unless otherwise specified in the caption set underneath each
image.

In some cases copyright belongs to third parties, where
copyright clearance was obtained, it is indicated in the caption. We
have made considerable efforts to contact all relevant copyright
holders. In some cases this was not possible and we would appreciate any
information about the copyright holders in these cases.
[*] A single asterisk indicates that fair effort was made
on part of the curatorial team to obtain copyright permissions, but no
response was received from the copyright holders
[**] Two asterisks indicate items of unidentified source
or authorship. In such cases, it is our aim to identify the objects'
sources, therefore help of the online community is much appreciated.
If you are an author of an object displayed below with
either a single or double asterisk, and would like us to acknowledge
your authorship or remove the image altogether, please contact the
Leopold Muller Memorial Library staff at: muller.library@ochjs.ac.uk
