2020 Memorial Lecture on Zoom

Since the Jacobs Affair in the 60’s the Orthodox world, especially in the UK has steered well clear of the challenges of Biblical authorship.

In the last few years TheTorah.com website has published hundreds of articles, mostly by Orthodox scholars, that critically examines Torah Development.

One of the originators of the site Prof Marc Brettler will be joined by historian Prof Edward Breuer to demonstrate how Judaism is enriched, not destroyed, by an honest approach to Torah.

Louis Jacobs’ 14th Memorial Lecture will take place this year, online using Zoom from 5.30pm BST on Sunday, 21st June 2020. Find out more and book online for this event.
